What I've Been Watching
I've been listening to the 5 Steps for Successfully Onboarding Volunteers. This is a video about 60 minutes long from ministryspark.com. Byron Ragains has a great interview with Lynne Howard on how to recruit and onboard new leaders. If I have seen one continued need in the church, it is volunteers. After Covid-19, we have seen so many churches that need volunteers.
Watch this video. It is good.
Being Ever Vigilant
Safety in the church is so important. We need to always be on the lookout for areas of our ministry that need our attention. Safety is one of them. Kids and parents need us to be vigilant in this area.
This week I sent out to another church some of the resources I recommend from our insurance company regarding protecting our children from sexual, physical, and emotional abuse. Here is a list of those resources.
Inspired by Billy Graham
In 1953 one of Billy Graham's first tv appearances was the tv program called, Hour of Decision, "My New Year's Resolution." It is ancient, and no, I wasn't alive back then to see it. But I watched this last night. One of the things that Billy Graham was determined to be in 1953 was courageous. When I think of Billy Graham, he was full of courage. He shared the Word of God with conviction and courage. I pray that for those of us in Kids Ministry. I pray for courage. I pray that we boldly share the Word of God.
Watch this 12-minute video clip and see if you get inspired.
The Bible Says this about Boldness
Acts 28:31 31 He proclaimed the kingdom of God and taught about the Lord Jesus Christ—with all boldness and without hindrance!
Proverbs 28:1 "The wicked flee though no one pursues, but the righteous are as bold as a lion."
Acts 4:31 31 After they prayed, the place where they were meeting was shaken. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God boldly.
2 Corinthians 3:12 12 Therefore, since we have such a hope, we are very bold.
