SOLVING THE WORLD WATER CRISIS Drip Irrigation

Our Goal

An estimated 790 million people don't have access to safe water. Furthermore, around 1.8 billion people live without adequate sanitary techniques. Women and children spend an estimated 200 million hours per day collecting contaminated and unsafe water, resulting in approximately 2,000 child fatalities from water-borne illnesses.

This is an excellent opportunity for the kids in our network to make a difference. We are now partnering with WorldServe International through BGMC to assist with drip irrigation systems.

Our goal is to raise $25,000. The funds raised will support drip irrigation systems throughout Africa. A donor has offered to match up to $25,000 till the end of the year.

We've requested your church to help with this project.

We will personally contact your church to provide final instructions on how to designate your contribution. We must finish the BGMC challenge by the end of December.

In August, we sent one of our teams from Wisconsin and Northern Michigan to Kenya to visit one of the farms where Worldserve is assisting with the installation of drip irrigation systems. Feel free to use these images. Several of them are from the trip.

Thank you again for your participation in this initiative.
